About CBD Oil

CBD Oil is short for Cannabidiol. This is an oil that is naturally produced by industrial hemp (cannabis satvia) plants.

 

Cannabis plants are classified as either industrial hemp or marijuana depending on the amount of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) present. 

 

The 2014 Farm Bill allows production of industrial hemp that contains less than .3% THC on a dry weight basis---that's an almost negligible amount. On the other hand, marijuana strains can contain 20% to 30% THC.

 

Because of this low level of THC present in CBD Oil, you may receive the therapeutic benefits of CBD without the "high" feeling that THC causes.

 

The benefits of CBD Oil were supported by Dr. Casarett, the Palliative Care at Duke University Health System in his2015 book, "Stoned: A Doctor's Case for Medical Marijuana."
